Greetings and welcome to 2026. Let's leave the dumpster-fire that was 2025 behind us forever. It can only get better, right?
Edit: Well, that did not age well. And it's only January 4th.
It doesn't feel like it's the right time to post about my measly writing goals. Then again, with the way things are, there won't be a right time. So here goes nothing.
Last year, I fell short on my novel goals, but I knocked out everything else. This year, I hope to get better! I will aim to spend less time doomscrolling and kicking ass on Battlefront II. Instead, I will spend more time writing freakin' books. Here is my plan:
Novels:
Complete Midnight Agency, Season 3
Finish first complete draft by Jan. (~90,000 words)
Currently at 78K
Set aside for a few weeks/months
Work on another project while waiting (see next major bullet!)
Finish first major edit by Spring (reduce to 70-80K words)
Edit again and again until it's ready for beta readers, NLT Summer
Ask a few kind beta readers to review it over the Summer
Work on another project while waiting (see next major bullet!)
Final edits in Fall
