Ah, 2025! A year that promises to be as challenging as putting socks on an octopus. But I've discovered that jotting down my goals holds me accountable. Now, 2024 was a mixed bag for me -- sure I conquered the vast landscapes of Ghost of Tsushima and sent the Mongol invaders packing -- but I could have done better, especially when it comes to writing shiny new sentences.
So, without further ado, here are my writing and reading goals for 2025. Buckle up, folks, it’s going to be a wild ride!
New Fantasy Novel - continue querying agents and expand to publishers.
Midnight Agency, Season 3 -- complete draft by June.
New novel series -- start draft of a mystery, crime, or thriller.
Short stories -- continue submitting from pool of stories and write two brand new stories.
Craft - actively improve writing skills by taking classes and studying.
Blog - write quarterly accountability posts and at least four posts that might interest readers.
